Founded in 1996, “Medzhybizh” tourist complex is a conveniently located within the grounds of Medzhybizh town – a historical and architectural landmark of Khmelnitsky region and Ukraine.
The town is primarily known for the 600 years old castle on the banks of Southern Bug and Buzhok rivers, its grounds housing a local history museum, remnants of the Trinity catholic church, and palace ruins.
Medzhybizh is also commonly called the home of Hasidism, since the founder of Hasidic Judaism, Israel Baal Shem Tov, lived here in 1740-1760. Today thousands upon thousands of people from all over the globe come here to visit his grave. Once a year the castle holds a national medieval culture festival, entertaining guests with knight fights, archery competitions, music concerts and other activities.
